Cookies and storage we use

Essential local storage

These are required for the site to function correctly and are set regardless of your cookie preference. They do not contain personal data.

• labs_trial_emails — stores email addresses you have used to request a free trial on this device, to prevent duplicate submissions. Persists until you clear your browser's site data.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — set only with your consent

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site — which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and where traffic comes from. IP addresses are anonymised before any data is sent to Google. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google Analytics sets the following cookies:

• _ga — distinguishes unique users. Expires after 2 years.
• _gid — distinguishes unique users on a shorter cycle. Expires after 24 hours.
• _gat — throttles the rate of requests to Google. Expires after 1 minute.

Third-party cookies (Stripe)

When you click a payment link, you are taken to Stripe's secure checkout at checkout.stripe.com. Stripe may set their own cookies on their domain to process your payment and prevent fraud. These are governed by Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. We do not control or have access to these cookies.

What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any cookies that track you across other websites. We do not share cookie data with advertisers.
